Cuban Food

We got to spend some time with our friends Jessica and Smith this week. These are 2 of Tera's best friends from her Anderson University days. We went out for some delicious Cuban food and had a great time catching up.

Ruby has had a lot of visitors since she was born 19 days ago. We thought it would be fun to post some pic's of those visitor's for all to see.

Tanning bed already?

No, Ruby is not trying to get a nice tan here...she, sadly enough, has jaundice and has to be under the lights. She was under them last week and after coming out her bilirubin levels went back up. We took her to the doctor yesterday and when Tera expressed concern over Ruby still looking yellow they ordered that she go back under the lights. She will be under them until Wednesday at least...hopefully no more after that. We don't like them and neither does she but we understand that they are a necessary evil at this point.
On a positive note...Ruby was weighed yesterday at the doctor's and she is 4 pounds 13 oz. Sounds small but she is gaining 1/2 oz a day and that is perfectly great says the doctor. She is a big eater so far...keep up the good work Ruby!

Ruby is the 10th grand child for Tera's parent's and the 1st for Brian's parents. Either way we are pretty sure she will be getting lots of attention!

35 weeks and counting

We have made it 35 weeks and Ruby is still holding on strong. The doctor officially took me off bedrest today!!! WOO HOO!!

We celebrated by going out to lunch! I can't wait to go to Target!
