North Country
We are heading north tomorrow for Michigan. We are going to my friend Mary's wedding (one of my roomie's while in Philly) and then to see friends from high school/college. For now, here is a picture of Ruby at my favorite restaurant (North End Cafe) hanging out in her cowboy boots (from her friend Lily). We will be back next week.
Brewing
If you have been reading our blog since I started it almost a year ago you would remember that Brian likes to brew beer at home as a hobby. Due to me being on bedrest and us getting used to a new baby this was put on the back burner. Well, this month he has been able to get back into it. I don't know much about it but I am sure if you google homebrew or something you will learn lots. Here are some pic's of us bottling his stout last weekend. I am filling the bottles and Brian is capping them. No, Ruby didn't help...she was in the next room (in our sight) working on her crawling skills! Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Dad!
Happy Birthday to Ruby's Grandpa Faith! We celebrated today by having a yummy Ethiopian buffet in downtown Louisville.

Favorite Toys
I am sure you parents can relate to this one. Ruby loves playing with cups and bowls. They eventually all end up on the floor and we start all over again but these keep her busy for a long time. Also, notice that little play money bill that she has. She loves this thing...i think because it makes crackling noises.

Podcasts
Due to a lack of recent pictures and not much going on I am going to finish a topic that I started last week.
Brian and I have developed a great love for podcasts recently. Here is how wikipedia explains podcasts: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcasts
So, lately we have found a few new ones and thought we would share.
I like to listen to about 4 or 5 different ones but my faves are:
The American Life (thisamericanlife.org)
Dr. James Dobson on Parenting (family.org)
and my latest and current favorite is
Pediacast (pediacast.org) This is a podcast about everything under the sun related to children and pediatrics. I love it and so does Brian. The doctor that does the podcast is interesting and easy to listen to. I highly recommend this especially to new parents.
I was going to make Brian post his faves but I will do it for him. He likes to listen to
This American Life
The Byzantine Empire
ABC News
History of Christianity from the Reformed Seminary
