Play time

Ruby got to hang out with her old pal Moses (used to call him Mo Mo) last week. They are so cute together and seeing Moses reminded me how big they both had gotten. Telia liked hanging with the big kids too!

Meal Plan Monday

I'm gonna go ahead and put this out there...this weeks meal plan is not really interesting. Here ya go:

Monday- pizza with veggies and salad

Tuesday- slow cooker cowboy beans

Wednesday- baked spaghetti squash and salad with bread

Thursday- breakfast for dinner- potato's, Canadian bacon, eggs, and biscuits

Friday- sandwiches and fresh veggies

A Day with the Cousins

A couple of weeks ago we got to hang out with Ruby and Telia's cousins, Logan and Lauren, and with Aunt Kate. We had fun splashing around at one of our city's many splash parks.

What ya got good for supper?

Willie Mae, a neighbor, used to ask my roommates and I that when I lived in West Philadelphia. We didn't always have good things cookin but she usually took us up on whatever it was we were cooking or would take us up on the offer to go get her a cheese steak. She always always always said "Don't let them steal your joy!" She was 80 something and had been in the same Tuesday morning bible study for 50 something years...but, I digress. This post isn't supposed to be about Willie Mae, although I do miss her.

I have indeed been cooking on these hot hot summer days. I don't know if I will remember everything but here are a couple of great recipes that I tried out

I made this great slow cooker green pepper chicken recipe because somehow I had all the ingredients. Using the crock pot is so great for these hot summer days.

We have been getting potato's these last couple of weeks from our farmer and I am happy to announce that I have figured out the best thing to do with them. Thanks to the Pioneer Woman I now know how to make the Basic Breakfast Potatoes

Playtime

Summer is flying by and I realized last week that I hadn't been taking many pictures. Here are a few of the girls in our day to day lives just playing.

Telia started crawling last week so that has brought lots of fun to our house. Ruby is turning 3 years old in less than a month and is already making requests for her birthday party (probably gets this from my side of the family). We are all keeping busy and trying to stay cool in this heat.
