Trip to BG

Last weekend we took a trip to visit Brian's parents and brother down in Bowling Green, KY. We decided to take a walk down to the river the first day we were there. Here are some pictures from our walk.

Also, one year ago today I was put on bedrest in the hospital for pre-term labor. It is good to look back and see how God provided for us during that time that could have been very very stressful. We now have a beautiful 10 1/2 month old girl who God continues to take care of. I would put a link to last years post at this time but I don't know how yet. :)

Great Friends

Me and Hollie and Angela. Not the most flattering picture of me but I figured they deserved a shout out on the blog. They did a great job at planning a special day for me. I couldn't have asked for anything better!

Hospital Company

Zach, Logan, Lauren, and Holden with Grandpa at the hospital.
While I have been here in the hospital I have had lots of visitor's. Today we had a packed room with my 2 sister in laws, 3 nephews, 1 neice and my parents. Kim and the kids were on their way back to Indianapolis from Alabama so they stopped by. We decided to turn it into a family affair in the middle of the afternoon.

Getting to know the hospital

On Friday the 27th I (Tera) was re-admitted to the hospital because my water was close to breaking. I will be in the hospital on strict bed rest until at least the 14th of August when they will re-assess and hopefully send me home. It hasn't been that bad...I have had lots of visitors and other things to do such as reading, watching movies, surfing the internet and calling friends on the phone. The nurses and doctor's have been pretty awesome here.

Bedrest...by myself

This has been my (Tera) first day of bedrest by myself. It hasn't been that bad but I am sure I will have rough days. I have been able to talk on the phone, catch up on a few emails, and listen to the new Sojourn CD.
The weekend was pretty good also. We had friends take our dogs running (lindsy); friends take our dog to the free dog wash (Cori and Michael); co-workers bring us DELICIOUS food (Cecilia); a friend brought dinner on Friday (Hollie); my sister and her family visited on Friday; Mom and Dad were here friday, saturday, and sunday and helped clean. People have been really really good to us. I am blessed.
Not to mention that Brian is amazing! He has really outdone himself with keeping the house clean and having patience with me! I am very fortunate to have such a wonderful husband!

Ruby is getting a little too excited!

Ruby is getting a little too excited to come out and meet her parents and the rest of the world. I (Tera) went in for my routine 28 week check up on Wednesday and found out I was one cm dilated. This was not a good thing. They admitted me to Norton Suburban Hospital right away to get checked out and start monitoring me and the baby. Although this was a very scary experience for Brian and I we could feel God's presence the whole time we were there. From the peaceful nurses and doctors to all the support we received from friends, family, and our church community. There were no problems the whole time we were there...Ruby's heart beat was fabulous and I didn't have a single contraction. They sent me home yesterday around noon and I am now officially on bed rest for two weeks. Ruby is doing wonderful and we will hopefully get her to stay in there for a while longer.
Shew! What a scare but what a wonderful testimony to how God provides for us.
