This has been my (Tera) first day of bedrest by myself. It hasn't been that bad but I am sure I will have rough days. I have been able to talk on the phone, catch up on a few emails, and listen to the new Sojourn CD.
The weekend was pretty good also. We had friends take our dogs running (lindsy); friends take our dog to the free dog wash (Cori and Michael); co-workers bring us DELICIOUS food (Cecilia); a friend brought dinner on Friday (Hollie); my sister and her family visited on Friday; Mom and Dad were here friday, saturday, and sunday and helped clean. People have been really really good to us. I am blessed.
Not to mention that Brian is amazing! He has really outdone himself with keeping the house clean and having patience with me! I am very fortunate to have such a wonderful husband!

Ruby is getting a little too excited!
Ruby is getting a little too excited to come out and meet her parents and the rest of the world. I (Tera) went in for my routine 28 week check up on Wednesday and found out I was one cm dilated. This was not a good thing. They admitted me to Norton Suburban Hospital right away to get checked out and start monitoring me and the baby. Although this was a very scary experience for Brian and I we could feel God's presence the whole time we were there. From the peaceful nurses and doctors to all the support we received from friends, family, and our church community. There were no problems the whole time we were there...Ruby's heart beat was fabulous and I didn't have a single contraction. They sent me home yesterday around noon and I am now officially on bed rest for two weeks. Ruby is doing wonderful and we will hopefully get her to stay in there for a while longer.
Shew! What a scare but what a wonderful testimony to how God provides for us.

Beer Brewing
After many months of Brian taking a break from his hobby he was able to fit some beer brewing in. For his birthday he bought some ingredients and has started working on another tasty home made chocolate stout.
Here he is in the middle of the process with bags of roasted barley, crystal malt, and chocolate malt. We will keep you posted on the next step.

registering
This week Brian and I have forged into the land of baby registering. We were pretty stressed out when we went to Target but by the time we went to Babies R Us we were like pro's.

Joining the club
I (Tera) have decided that we need to join the blogging club mostly so we can keep family and friends in the loop once Ruby is here. So, i will hopefully figure out how to post pictures soon. I have a feeling that Brian knows but he is out of town so I will have to wait or figure it out myself.
