Happy Birthday Brian!

Today is my wonderful husbands 28th birthday! To celebrate he just wants to go see "Indiana Jones" this weekend--cheap date. Guess he is still a kid at heart. Happy Birthday to my best friend and an amazing father! xoxo

Cultivate Beauty

Every year our church takes a month to turn off our t.v.'s and cultivate beauty by going outside more, gardening, painting, taking walks, reading, just taking time to enjoy God's creation. We have decided to start trying to grow some herbs. This weekend we went to Brian's parents house and they gave us some of their herbs (sage, dill, basil, cilantro, and oregano) and some marigolds.

Ruby also got to meet her Great Grandfather and his wife. We had a great time with them in Louisville and Bowling Green, KY. We took them to our favorite Cuban restaurant-Havana Rumba and of course the great tourist attraction Lynn's Paradise Cafe. We also spent some time at the Frazier Museum and saw some artifacts from a slave ship.

While we were in Florida we found a great sushi place. We liked it so much that we ate there 2 times. Ruby enjoyed playing with the chopsticks.

Sunny Florida! Tuesday I got a call from Brian who said that his company was sending him to Orlando on Wednesday! He so graciously decided to bring his family and we have turned it into a wonderful vacation. Here is a pic of Ruby today at Cocoa Beach. More to come for sure.
