Pegasus Parade

The month of April is full of fun activities in Louisville. Everyone is celebrating and anticipating the Kentucky Derby. Below are a few pic's from the Pegasus Parade. It is great because tons and tons of horses line up on our street in preparation for the parade. We are so close to downtown that we are able to walk down there. Ruby had an absolute blast and we met up with some friends to enjoy the parade with.

She was probably telling mama all about the "horsies" walking in the parade

This was one of the huge floats. It was so windy that day the people were struggling to control it...pretty scary to have a giant sponge bob getting ready to float away.

Spring Time

Ruby has been loving this warm weather. Last week it was in the 80's most of the week and she wanted to be outside all the time. Here are a few pics from our backyard...aka wasteland. Lets just say we have a lot of work to do back there this spring.

Thunder over Louisville

This past weekend we kicked off the Kentucky Derby Festival with the rest of the city at Thunder Over Louisville. We were crazy enough to take Ruby with us but had help from her Uncle John and Sharon. Here are a few pics from the evening

First Haircut

Ruby got her first haircut right before Easter. She did a great job sitting still on Mama's lap while the beautician cut it.

Celebrating our 3rd Anniversary

We celebrated our 3rd anniversary (which was April 1st) by staying the night at the Brown Hotel here in Louisville. We had a relaxing evening at the restaurant in the hotel and even got our dessert for free since it was our anniversary.

This is the amazing dessert that I got...some sort of mocha souffle with a bailys cream sauce. It was delicious!
