Once again we are having computer problems. This time it is looking pretty darn grim. Brian brought his work laptop home so we would have a computer this weekend.
Other than the computer issue things are going well. Ruby is doing great and this week we have really made some strides with naptimes. I have been trying to be consistent with nap times and I figured out last week that I need to wait till I see some signs of sleepiness (yawning, rubbing eyes) before I put her down. She only cries for a few minutes when I wait till I see the signs and then she is out. Some days she sleeps for 30 minutes at a time and some days it is 1 1/2 hours at a time.
We have had some crazy weather this month. We had some tornado's in Louisville a few weeks ago, then a bunch of snow, and this week we had an ice storm. It made us very thankful to have a nice warm home to shelter us at night.
This week I finally lost all my pregnancy weight--27 pounds. The first 15 just fell off but the last 12 were pretty hard. I am working hard at loosing a lot more but this was a great goal to hit this week. Brian is also working at eating healthier as well...cutting back on fried food and Mt. Dews (which is no small feat). We are really trying to live healthier lives and hope that we can teach our children about honoring their bodies with good food from the Earth. I was motivated by a book that I read called "Disease Proof Your Child" by Dr. Fuhrman. He really really stresses vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds. We are trying to limit our meat, dairy(i'm allergic to dairy), and egg(brian's allergic to egg) intake as well. This week I bought bok choy for the first time but haven't figured out what to do with it yet. I will keep everyone posted on that.
Okay, that is all my ramblings for now. Hopefully I will post more pictures soon.
