Texas take 1

Evidently I didn't have the camera on the right setting therefore I didn't really get that many great pics while in Texas. Here is a cute one with Grandma and Grandpa and the kids.

One day we went out on a boat and enjoyed the Texas sunshine and swimming. Ruby didn't care too much for the water so she practiced her driving skills.

I figured I would go ahead and let everyone know that we have officially chosen a name for baby girl #2. We have decided to name her Telia (teal-ya) Abigail. We chose the name Telia because it was Brian's great grandmother and we liked the name. We wanted to chose an Old Testament name for her middle name and we both really liked Abigail. She was one of King David's wives who exemplified a life of faith and obedience to God rather than to man. Somehow we have not had a hard time deciding on names...at least for girls. We have not argued or struggled much over either of our girls names which has been a blessing. So far the pregnancy is going well and we are so thankful to God for blessing us with little Telia already.

Texas or Bust

In about 2 hours we are getting in the car and heading to visit my brother and his family in Texas. Yep, we are driving with a toddler and my parents. Say a prayer for us. :)

I am sure I will have tons of pictures to post when I come back.

Guess What?

We found out last week that Ruby is going to have a little sister. We are so excited to have the privilege of raising 2 girls. We had an ultra sound last week and our little baby girl is healthy and kicking....like crazy. She was moving all over the place so much that the tech took a long time to get the measurements that she needed. We are still working on a name but will probably have it nailed down soon.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Faith

Ruby's grandpa is turning 60 something today. Happy Birthday. I figured out this morning that he doesn't pose for too many pictures...I had to go all the way back to October to find this one.

Summer Time CSA

We started getting our vegetables and fruits from the farmer whom we are in a CSA (community supported agriculture) with about 3 weeks ago. We are splitting a 1/2 bushel (each week) with our friends The Wallaces. The picture below is from a few weeks ago...right now lots of greens, root veggies, and strawberries are in season. It has been a challenge to figure out how to cook some of these foods but it has also been fun. I have actually been cooking a lot more now that I am feeling better. I did find a pretty good recipe for kale that I used a couple of weeks ago. Picture below. I didn't use garlic but instead used this garlic like stuff that we got from the farmer. We can never remember what it is called...after googling...garlic scapes. We used those instead of garlic and it came out pretty good. We have also been LOVING all the strawberries. This morning Ruby and I enjoyed strawberry pancakes! Yum! We are loving eating so healthy and we love that our friends Luke and Katherine work at the farm. They tell us all about the foods they give us each week.

Pig Tails

Ruby is getting to be such a big girl. We have recently started putting her hair up in pig tails. She only sits still for me to do this if I put a video on and give her snacks. :)
